This is a katsu chain from Japan selling mille-feuille katsu, which is layered tonkatsu. Each piece of tonkatsu, available in chicken and beef. There is an outlet at the basement of Takashimaya in Singapore if you want to try the pork versions and in SGD prices. $$$
There are different sauces to use with the tonkatsu and even an instruction wobbler for how to eat.
We ordered the beef version (78K before tax) while The Other Human had chicken cheese katsu set (64K). Each set comes with the meat, rice, cabbage and miso soup.
Look at those layers. We've never tried anything like that before.
For sides we tried the Crunchy Mentai Tofu (25K before tax).
And a piyo piyo menchi (30K before tax), which is like a scotch egg.
I liked everything. And considering that one set can be less than $8 while Takashimaya basement is selling for $18+, this is a steal.
