The breakfast is included in your stay and you should not skip it for any reason. The spread is very big with lots of hot, cooked food items like fried noodles, chicken, soups, porridge, etc. Menu changes everyday. There is also the normal Western kind of breakfast food like cereal with cold milk and yoghurt and toast if that is your thing.

There is a cooking station divided into two sections. One side is for cooking eggs (just tell the chef what you want) while the other side changes everyday. My favourite is the Indomie station. Cook a serving of mee goreng (there are soup options as well, just point to the packet you want) and then the chef cooks for you.. Then go get the 料 from the main buffet section. Shiok lah.... It's also a good way to try out the different variants of Indomie so you know which one to buy at the supermarket later.

My next favourite section is the nonya kueh section. Crazy variety (I would say at least 15-20 types). Considering each piece of nonya kueh is like $1.50 at Bengawan Solo, this is the chance to eat your heart out.

They have two good coffee machines too. Last time it was the "pour pour" coffee that is pre-brewed and you add your own milk and sugar. Now you got cappuccino, latte, etc from the machine and is quite decent. Good to have one cup for your initial perk-me-up before you head out to the Indonesian coffee cafes for more good coffee.

I won't recommend to skip this breakfast. If you wake up late, just 意思意思 still go and eat something cos it's good. Then continue on with more eating outside of the hotel. Or heck, just set the alarm and wake up for breakfast.
