Food - Indonesian Cafes

There are many Indonesian Cafes in the malls, with similar local and Western food offerings at cheaper-than-Singapore-hawker prices. Most have a promo menu with each dish at about 12.8K (yes that's $1.28 for a bowl of mee soto 😍.

Had their 12.8K promo menu for a multi-part lunch. Decent offerings.

  • Soto Ayam - not as flavourful as [Insert white town name]
  • Pisang Keju Coklat

Restaurant Name: Coffee Town

Location: BCS 4th floor opposite the cinema

Accepts credit card: Yes

We had their promo menu as a snack.

My $1.20 mee soto 😍😍😍. It's 13.9K including tax.

They had fried chicken with four styles of chilli for 13.9K. We didn't take chilli so here it is without any chilli sauce. Still a good snack of fried chicken for that price.

Restaurant Name: Kangen Cafe

Location: BCS 3rd floor, also at Nagoya Mall

Accepts credit card: Not sure

Visited: Sep 2022

Dug up from the archives of Sep 2022, prices have definitely increased but just for reference.

Promo menus last time used to be 8.8K. It is now at least 12K.

Our favourite mee soto is always on the promo menu 😍

Salted Egg Chicken with rice - 38.8K

Bombastic Choco Volcano Drink for 35.8K (before tax). Don't bother.

Not sure if they still have these meatballs on their menu but they caught our attention back in Sep 2022 that we had to try it. Look at the variety of stuffing you can have in a meatball. Egg in meatball, cheese in meatball, chilli in meatball...

Heck you could even have meatballs in meatball. It's a pregnant meatball with meatball babies. It's meatball inception.

Or you could have meatballs with noodles in a meatball bowl. This is so fun. #Mindblown

Or you could have something simpler like a few meatballs with fried dumplings in a regular, non-edible bowl. 😂 I'm not really a meat lover so that meatball within a meatball bowl was just too much meat for me.
